OSIPOVS v. CHESAPEAKE AIRPORT AUTHORITY
On Friday evening, March 26, a jury of five property owners in Chesapeake Circuit Court delivered a unanimous verdict of “Zero” in compensation owed to the Osipovs by the Authority.
This is a huge victory for the Authority, but by no means does this indicate that we have this issue fully behind us. The counsel for the plaintiffs has filed a motion to have the verdict set aside. There remain the other 13 identical suits to be dealt with, and, of course, this decision (and the judge's original decision that there was damage but no taking) remains subject to appeal to the Virginia Supreme Court.
NEX GEN 2010
The Civil Air Patrol, the Chesapeake Airport Authority, Horizon Aviation and Tidewater Flight Center have combined resources to present NEX GEN 2010 on Saturday, May 15.
